Application Support Analyst - Information Technology (IT)

About the Job
Requirements:
  • Language: English (spoken and written) and French is an asset.
  • Education: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or a related field. 
  • Master’s degree is an asset.
  • Experience: 5 – 7 years experience in IT with at least 3 years in a field support role.
  • Strong understanding in change management, cybersecurity, and audit practices.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suites. 

Key Responsibilities:
Application Support:
  • Provide day-to-day support for SAP, Empath, Elixir, payroll, and other business applications. 
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions with vendors and internal stakeholders. 
  • Support business users by analyzing requirements, resolving incidents, and improving workflows and processes.
  • Assist with system configuration, upgrades, testing, and implementation activities. 
  • Create and maintain documentation including SOPs, processes, work instructions, training materials, and technical documentation. 
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for priority incident resolution. 
  • Support user account management, permissions, and application security practices. 
  • Collaborate with departments to identify opportunities for process automation and operational improvements.
Development, Reports Interfaces:
  • Develop, maintain, and support reports, dashboards, and data extracts for business operations and management reporting. 
  • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and related Power Platform solutions. 
  • Support application integrations and interfaces between business systems. 
  • Assist in database queries, data validation, and data analysis activities. 
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and ongoing support of internally developed solutions. 
  • Work with users to gather reporting and development requirements and deliver practical business solutions. 
  • Maintain development and reporting documentation to ensure sustainability and supportability.
Project Involvement:
  • Participate in and occasionally lead IT-related projects from planning through implementation and completion.
  • Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and business stakeholders to ensure project success. 
  • Assist with project scheduling, task tracking, documentation, testing, and end-user communication. 
  • Support change management activities related to system implementations and upgrades. 
  • Work closely with management and operational teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.
Compliance and Governance:
  • Support IT compliance, audit, and governance activities including SOX controls, documentation, evidence collection, access reviews, change management tracking, and remediation efforts to ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
Field Support"
  • Support the Field technician in various tasks including ticket triage, relief, and major initiatives.
